Enjoy a city tour of Launceston. At Rosevears Estate sample local wines and cheese. Overnight: Launceston International. (D) Day 2 Mon: Kunnara Kunna This morning stop at The Grove, one of Tasmania's oldest historical homes. We travel to St. Helens, known as Kunnara Kunna, for an Aboriginal guided tour. Overnight: Scamander Beach Resort. (BD) Day 3 Tue: Freycinet National Park Visit East Coast Natureworld, then continue to Freycinet Peninsula where a Park Ranger will lead a gentle walk. Travel south to picturesque Port Arthur. Overnight: Fox and Hounds Inn, Port Arthur, 2 nights. (BD) Day 4 Wed: Port Arthur Join a guided walking tour of the grounds and ruins, then cruise around the Isle of the Dead. Later, see the natural coastal formations of Tasman's Arch, Devils Kitchen and The Blowhole. (BD) Day 5 Thu: Richmond Hobart Cadbury Chocolate Factory This morning travel to the village of Richmond. Tonight, enjoy our poolside welcome barbecue dinner. Accommodation: Alice Springs Resort. (D) Day 2 Mon. Visit Kuyunba Land This morning visit a site of significance to the Arrente people. Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort. (BD) Day 3 Tue. Kings Canyon, Ayers Rock You have the choice this morning to take the Kings Canyon rim walk for views of the canyon and countryside, or to enjoy the more gentle walk along the shaded canyon floor. We continue to Uluru (Ayers Rock) where drinks are served as the sun sets. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort, Sails in the Desert Hotel for 2 nights. (BL) Day 4 Wed. Ayers Rock, Choose to climb Uluru (Ayers Rock) or watch the sunrise and visit Mutitjulu. Later, join the Mala Walk and base tour. Alternatively, take the Liru Walk with Aboriginal guides (must be pre-booked, US$40). Tour Kata Tjuta (Olgas), and tonight, enjoy the bbq dinner under the stars. (BD) Day 5 Thur. Touring Alice Springs Tour the sights of Alice Springs and enjoy the views from Anzac Hill Accommodation: Alice Springs Resort. (BD) Day 6 Fri. Alice Springs A free morning before airport transfers. (B) Day 1 Sat: Arrive Ayers Rock On arrival in Ayers Rock you will be transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a glass of wine and nibbles as you watch the spectacular colours of sunset over Uluru (Ayers Rock). Accommodation: Sails in the Desert Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights. Day 2 Sun: Uluru (Ayers Rock) Kata Tjuta (Olgas) This morning you may wish to join an early tour to view sunrise over Uluru. Enjoy a guided walk into Mutitjulu Waterhole and stop at the informative Uluru Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. You may wish to join the famous Liru Walk through bushland. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (Olgas) and walk into Walpa Gorge. Enjoy sunset with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a barbecue dinner. (B) (HD) Day 3 Mon: Kings Canyon Travel to Kings Canyon today. For the energetic, a guided climb to the Canyon rim will be rewarded with magnificent views of Watarrka National Park. Alternatively, you may prefer to explore the boulder-strewn Canyon floor. Accommodation: Kings Canyon Resort Rangeview Rooms. (B) Day 4 Tue: Alice Springs Leaving Watarrka National Park behind, we travel through to Alice Springs. See the sights of Alice Springs including the Royal Flying Doctor Service, School of the Air and the Telegraph Station. We stop for panoramic views from Anzac Hill. Accommodation: Alice Springs Resort, 2 nights. (B) Day 5 Wed: Aboriginal Culture Alice Springs Desert Park This morning spend time with a local Aboriginal guide on a Desert Discovery Tour to gain an understanding of their unique culture. This afternoon we travel to Standley Chasm, Simpsons Gap and visit the Alice Springs Desert Park. (B) Day 6 Thu: Depart Alice Springs Tour concludes today after breakfast.
