Day 1 – Sun: Depart U.S. for Dublin Travel to Dublin on an overnight flight.

Day 2 – Mon: Dublin Castle & Guinness Arrive in Dublin and transfer to your hotel. At 2:00 pm tour Dublin city center, visiting the State Apartments of Dublin Castle and the Guinness Storehouse to sample a pint in the rooftop bar. Learn about your tour over a welcome drink.

Irish musicDay 3 – Tue: Glendalough & Abbey Tavern Visit the 6th century Glendalough Monastic Site and walk through ruined churches and a round tower. Return to Dublin where the afternoon is free a. Travel to Howth, nine miles from Dublin. Enjoy a traditional evening of dinner and ballads at the Abbey Tavern, built in the 15th century for some local monks as a seminary. The scene is beautifully set for dining - stone walls, fire places and gas lights. A typical five course Irish dinner with corned beef and cabbage, boiled potatoes and Irish coffee is served. Later, you might decide to take a stroll along the shore to gaze at the boats at sea.(B, D)
 Did you know? The Connemara Pony is considered Ireland’s only native breed with origins that stretch back an incredible 2,500 years. You can see the biggest collection of this sturdy breed at the annual Connemara Pony Show in Clifden in August.

Day 4 – Wed: National Stud & Blarney Visit the Irish National Stud to learn about horse breeding and see some magnificent studs. Pause for photos at the Rock of Cashel and continue south to Blarney Castle. Few visitors to 15th-century Blarney Castle can resist the opportunity to kiss the famous Blarney stone in the hope of being gifted with legendary Irish eloquence. Check into your hotel beside the Blarney Woollen Mills. (B, D)

Day 5 – Thu: Kinsale Walk & Killarney Drive to Kinsale for a short walking tour around this delightful old town. Kinsale is one of the most picturesque villages of the south-west coast and is known as the "Gourmet Capital of Ireland". Walk the colorful narrow streets down to the harbor and enjoy the scenic views. Drive via Macroom to Killarney, famous for its beauty. Spend a free afternoon in Killarney to browse around the town or enjoy your deluxe hotel’s facilities. (B, D)

Irish National StudDay 6 – Fri: Jaunting Car & Muckross Take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride to view Killarney’s scenery on the way to Muckross House. Tour the delightful 19th century mansion before driving to Kenmare and Moll’s Gap to see some great scenic views. Killarney has historic buildings dating back to the days of the landlord. Experience the ambience of busy streets in the town center. (B, D)

Day 7 – Sat: Cliffs of Moher & Galway Take a ferry across the River Shannon to view the Cliffs of Moher, a five-mile wall of limestone. Drive past the rounded limestone hills of the Burren to Galway for a brief tour around the city center. Check into your hotel and enjoy free time to visit the numerous medieval pubs with traditional Irish music. (B, D)

The well-known phrase ‘by hook or by crook’ originated from the place names Hook and Crooke when Cromwell vowed that his armies would take Waterford ‘by Hook or by Crooke’ (he never did!!!).  

Day 8 – Sun: Connemara Tour & Cruise cLADDAGH RINGConnemara is located on the Atlantic Ocean and within the 12 peaks of the Bens Mountain Range. This serene Irish-speaking region is regarded as one of the most scenically beautiful regions of Ireland. Drive to Cong for a short walking tour to see where the classic movie, “The Quiet Man” was made. Embark on a comfortable catamaran for unspoiled views of Killary Fjord. Visit the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory before returning to Galway. (B, D)

Day 9 – Mon: Knock Shrine & Belleek Drive to Knock Shrine, a popular place of pilgrimage. In County Sligo stop at the grave of W. B. Yeats and tour the Belleek Pottery Factory to see skilled craftspeople create delicate china. Continue to Stranorlar. (B, D)

DonegalDay 10 – Tue: Donegal & Glenveagh Experience the natural beauty of the Grand Atlantic Drive. Travel to Glenveagh National Park where high walls and conifers shelter exotic plants and red deer. Tour Glenveagh Castle, a granite castle built in 1870 and return to Stranorlar. (B, D)

Day 11 – Wed: Giant’s Causeway In Derry join a local guide for a walking tour around the medieval city walls. Visit the Giant’s Causeway, enormous columns formed over 60 million years ago. Travel along the “Nine Glens of Antrim” to Dunadry to your charming hotel. (B, D)

Celtic CrossesDay 12 – Thu: Belfast & St. Patrick’s Grave Tour Belfast city center with a local guide and cross Strangford Lough by ferry to visit the St. Patrick Centre and the saint’s grave at Down Cathedral. Travel past the Mountains of Mourne to Tyrellstown in ample time for a farewell dinner. (B, D)

Day 13 – Fri: Leave Dublin for Home Take a group transfer to Dublin Airport to arrive at 6:00 am, 9:00 am or 12:00 noon. (B)
