Tour the center of Dublin and visit Dublin Castle, the seat of political
power for centuries. See the magnificently furnished State Apartments and learn
about historic events that have taken place thereEnd with a tour around the
National Museum with an extensive collection of Irish treasures and see
priceless early Celtic artifacts in gold. The afternoon and evening are free.
(B) Day 4 – Sun: Blarney Castle & Killarney Park Hotel Depart Dublin and pause at the stately Rock of Cashel. Cashel is one of Ireland's most historic sites. Cashel was the seat of the kings of Munster from AD 370 until 1101, when it was granted to the church. It has very early associations with St. Patrick. Continue to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous “Stone of Eloquence.” Also visit the Blarney Woollen Mills for quality Irish-made goods. Drive to Killarney and check in to your hotel where a superb dinner awaits you. Nestled amidst deep, lake filled valleys with astounding sights such as the famous Ladies' View (Named after Queen Victoria's Ladies' in Waiting) and the MacGillicuddy Reeks - Ireland's largest mountain range, home of Carrauntoohil our largest peak.(B, D) Day 5 – Mon: Jaunting Car Ride & Award-Winning Dining Take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride to Muckross House for a guided tour of the delightful 19th century mansion. Drive to the colorful town of Kenmare and through Moll’s Gap, a wonderful vantage point on the Ring of Kerry. Dine at award-winning Killeen House Restaurant. (B, D)  Day 6 – Tue: Adare Manor Hotel & Golf Resort Stop in
Listowel and visit the Flying Boat Museum, which recreates the early days of
aviation. Travel to the picturesque village of Adare to the elegant Adare Manor
Hotel. This noble house with ornate Gothic facades stands amidst a vast estate
separated from the charming village of Adare by a high stone wall and iron
gates. Built as the elaborate home of the Earls of Dunraven, the house was
constructed on a massive scale with a two-story-high paneled reception over 50
hand-carved fireplaces, and an enormous ornate gallery based on the hall of
Mirrors in Versailles. In the original manor, bedrooms and suites are baronial
in size with elaborately carved marble fireplaces, king-sized beds, and seating
arrangements. Bathrooms have marble floors and walls, huge tubs, and
generous-sized dressing rooms. Bedrooms in the new wing are less opulent. All
has been restored to reflect a luxurious, 19th-Century county-house atmosphere,
yet this is a mix of old and modern. On the ground are the remains of a
Franciscan priory built in 1464, the keep of a feudal castle, a pets'
graveyard, and a championship golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
There are also a luxurious indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, snooker
room, and tack-room bar complete with Irish music. Horse riding, fishing, golf
and clay-pigeon shooting are available on the estate. Take some time to relax
and appreciate your surroundings before dinner in the restaurant. (B, D) Day 7 – Wed: Cliffs of Moher & Ashford Castle Drive through Limerick to the Cliffs of Moher, majestic walls of rock. Travel into Galway for a brief tour and free time before heading to the famous Ashford Castle. Its origins date back to the 13th century. Its great halls and gardens are magnificently preserved today. Activities at the castle include the castle's own golf course, salmon and trout fishing, tennis, and cruising on the "Corrib Queen".Arrive in time to explore the grounds, go riding or play some golf before dinner. (B, D) Day 8 – Thu: Connemara & “Quiet Man” Walk This morning drive through part of scenic Connemara. Embark on a catamaran cruise around Killary Harbour, Ireland’s only fjord, to see stunning scenery of unspoiled hills. Return to Cong for a short walking tour to see locations from the 1952 movie of “The Quiet Man.” (B, D)  Day 9 – Fri: Early Christian Clonmacnoise & Dublin
Travel eastwards today to visit the monastic site of Clonmacnoise, an early
Christian site founded by Saint Ciaran in the 6th century on the banks of the
River Shannon. The site includes the ruins of a cathedral, eight churches (10TH
-13TH century), two round towers, three high crosses and a large collection of
early Christian grave slabs.Continue to Dublin and check into another city
center hotel, near Grafton Street. Enjoy a farewell dinner with your fellow
