– Sat: Depart U.S. for Dublin Take an overnight flight across the
Atlantic. Day 2 – Sun: Dublin Castle & City Tour Arrive in Dublin Airport and transfer to your hotel. At 2:00 pm tour Dublin city center and visit the State Apartments of Dublin Castle. Sample a draft pint in the rooftop bar of the Guinness Storehouse. The evening is free. Day 3 – Mon: Ulster American Folk Park Drive to Omagh to visit the Ulster American Folk Park. See traditional cottages from different parts of Ireland and demonstrations of crafts and skills. Drive through Derry to Moville where your hotel is located overlooking the scenic Lough Foyle. Enjoy a welcome drink before dinner. (B, D)  Day 4 –Tue: Giant’s Causeway & Derry Take a
short ferry ride across Lough Foyle to visit the Giant’s Causeway, huge
basalt columns. Travel to Derry where a local guide will explain the history as
you walk along medieval city walls. Enjoy the spacious grounds and leisure
facilities of your hotel. (B, D) Day 5 – Wed: Slieve League Cliffs Journey through County Donegal to view Slieve League sea cliffs, the highest in Europe. You will see plenty of marvelous vistas. Drive around Donegal Bay and view the grave of W. B. Yeats before continuing to Mulranny where your hotel overlooks Clew Bay. (B, D) Day 6 – Thu: Achill Island & Westport Cross the bridge to Achill Island for a tour with wonderful, wild views of steep mountains and golden beaches. Achill's evocative ruins and deserted island village make Achill one of Ireland's most spectacular and beautiful places. Achill has a history of human settlement that is at least 5000 years old. The original Clan O'Malley has had links to the area since at least the 12th Century. The best known member of this family was Granuaille (Grace O'Malley) (1530-1603), the legendary Pirate Queen. In the 17th Century the Cromwell clearances from the lush farm land in the north and east of Ireland dispersed many native Irish families into the remote and harsh landscape of the west. Return to Mulranny and drive on to Westport for a walk around this planned town with a local guide. (B, D) Day 7 – Fri: Connemara & Cruise Drive to Leenane for a catamaran cruise along Killary Fjord. See potato ridges from Famine times as well as dramatic mountains. Connemara is one of the more scenically diverse regions seen on any Ireland tour, with glistening lakes, bogs, mountain vistas and the craggy Atlantic coastline. Travel through the scenic Connemara region and tour the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory to see hand-cut crystal before driving to your hotel. (B, D)  Day
8 – Sat: Aran Islands & Dun Aengus Take a short ferry ride to
Inis Mor, the largest of the three Aran Islands, where many old traditions and
the Irish language survive. At Dun Aengus see the huge pre-historic fortress
perched on sheer cliffs and visit the Aran Heritage Centre before returning to
your hotel in Galway. (B, D) Day 9 – Sun: Cliffs of Moher & Killarney Drive south to view the Cliffs of Moher, a rocky wall that plunges into the Atlantic Ocean. Take a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary to County Kerry. Stop in Listowel, birthplace of J. B. Keane, a popular playwright, before driving to Killarney. (B, D) Day 10 – Mon: Garinish Island & Muckross House Travel south to take a short boat ride to Garinish Island to see the lovely gardens that thrive in the mild climate of Bantry Bay. Return to Killarney and take a horse-drawn jaunting car ride to Muckross House for a tour of the elegant mansion. (B, D)  Day 11 – Tue: Rock of Cashel & Abbey Tavern Head
north to visit the Rock of Cashel, a stately limestone outcrop topped with
medieval ruins. Continue to Dublin to your hotel and enjoy dinner and a fun
evening at the Abbey Tavern. (B, D) Day 12 – Wed: Return Home from Dublin As your hotel is convenient to Dublin Airport, a shuttle service will take you from the hotel to the airport terminal.
