Right by the station you board your open-top sightseeing bus where you'll get a bird's eye view of this majestic City! The hop-on hop-off ticket allows you the freedom to leave and re-join the bus as often as you like. You will see all the main sights, attractions and landmarks of this lovely City, including the Old Town quarter, the Scotch Whisky Heritage Centre, the gloriously intricate Scott Monument decorated with 64 statues of characters from Walter Scott's novels, the Palace of Holyrood House where state ceremonies and official entertaining take place when the Queen is in Scotland (though it has its own murderous history!), and the brand new Scottish Parliament Building. You might want to wander through the cobbled City centre streets, visit St Giles's Kirk or Day tour to EdinburghJohn Knox's House or stroll along Princes Street checking out the tartan, whisky and shortbreads that have made Scotland famous! Your tour includes tickets to Edinburgh Castle where you can live like a King for a day! The Royal apartments include a tiny room in which Mary, Queen of Scots gave birth to the boy who was to become King of Scotland and England upon the death of Queen Elizabeth in 1603. The dazzling Scottish Crown Jewels are also on view in this Castle perched on an extinct volcano with spectacular views across the City and beyond. The train back to London leaves Edinburgh in the late afternoon returning to London's King's Cross at around 22.15. *Please note this tour is unescorted.  The London Underground map designed by Harry Beck in 1931 was so revolutionary in concept that, when London Transport first distributed it, they fully expected the public to reject it. How wrong could they be? It was readily appreciated for its bold simplicity, and for the fact that it got you from A to B. Its main innovation lay in the way it makes free with the realities of geography, as though underground was subject to different spatial laws to the outside world. The design appears on official merchandise all over the place, from mugs to tea-towels, making it as widely reproduced as certain works of modern art.

London Hotel Deals : ASK ABOUT OUR SPECIAL DEALS FOR JULY/AUGUST. London just isn't what it used to be. It's better! Today, London has grown less English and more international. The gent with the bowler hat has long gone out of fashion; today's Londoner might have a turban, a Mohawk, or even a baseball cap. Yet it’s a decidedly royal city, studded with palaces, court gardens, coats of arms, and other regal paraphernalia; yet it's also the home of the world's second-oldest parliamentary democracy. (Iceland was the first.) There's so much to discover - more than 30,000 shops, world class galleries and museums, dramatic new landmark buildings, and an endless choice of restaurants, bars, clubs and live music venues, and, of course, theatre.
Our best value: Jurys Inn Chelsea offers a fantastic location and excellent value for money. Chelsea is close to some of London's most popular visitor attractions including Kensington Palace, the Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Royal Concert Hall. Jurys Inn Chelsea hotel offers bright, spacious rooms, which can accommodate up to three adults or two adults and two children. Direc tions: Clapham Junction 1 mile Exit via the town center exit, cross the road and take the number C3 bus (signed Chelsea Harbour) to the hotel (approx 15mins).

The best: Jurys Great Russell Street, our top AA-rated, 4-star deluxe hotel with an award-winning restaurant, is wonderfully located for Covent Garden, Oxford Street, Soho and the British Museum, with several theatres just minutes away. Jurys Great Russell Street, designed by the most celebrated architect of the 20th century, Sir Edwin Lutyens.
